Mute swan take off !!!

This photograph was the first in focus photograph of wildlife i ever took with my Canon 70D and Sigma 150mm - 500mm. The exposure was a bit high but it was still a composition i was very happy with :).

Mute Swan.

Recently my family has become interested in geocaching. This is a hobby that involves a lot of walking in different places and therefore a lot of photo opportunities for me :). Yesterday, me my mum, step dad and girlfriend went to try and find some caches in Arundel. The flooding there was very bad but a good day was had by all. As we were nearing the finish of our trip i cam across this Mute Swan swimming down what is usually a footpath, towards me. Once it reached the shallower parts of the path it stood up and stretched its wings allowing me to take this shot :).

Adolescent cygnet

On a walk with the family we met a large group of swans, most of which were young cygnets with their mum and dad.
