I take a lot of photographs as its my hobby and use this blog as a place to put them and make use of them so to speak (its a lot cheaper than printing them all to put on your walls). But that means that there are a lot of photos on here. So i decided to narrow down my best photos and display them here on this page.

Starling |
I took this photo of a starling in my back garden in the south of England. This year the starlings that have arrived for the winter from places such as Russia and Finalnd and other places have come in big numbers. The biggest amount i can remember ever having had anyway. So whilst recovering from a dislocated knee i was able to sit and try and fail many different ways of getting this shot as the starlings swarmed around the feeder in the garden.

Red Deer |
This red deer was taken at Richmond park in London. Unfortunately when i visited i was just past the peak of the rutting season so there was no full on battles. These red deer are some of the largest animals in the u.k. Some of the biggest stags can reach 190kg according to the British deer society. An experience to remember, i would definitely recommend a visit.

Common Lizard |
I love this photo as it was one of the first i took that had a composition i was happy with and that was of something that isnt seen every day which made it a little bit more interesting. I took this whilst studying at Sparsholt (like with many of my photos). We were on a walk and lifted up some corrugated metal to find this little guy, who posed for us all to get a good look, allowing me to take this photo.

Fox |
This a photo of a captive (and very tame) fox at the British wildlife center. It really is an amazing place, they have pretty much every species you can imagine that lives in Britain (apart from all of insects plants and fish as you can imagine). I was lucky enough to be treated to a photography day there which was run by the wildlife photographer David Lloyd. It was an amazing experience as i was able to go into some of the enclosures with the animals and keeper, allowing me to take close p shots like this one.

Scottish Wild Cat |
This was another taken on the photography day at the British wildlife center. After doing a little research on them before going i was not looking forward to getting in a cage with these guys if i'm honest. Known as the untameable cat, they apparently like to go or the throat when given the chance. This photo was taken lying on the ground shortly before the keeper dangled some food above my head (without me knowing), which did cause them to come uncomfortably close, but on the other hand it did give me a story or two to tell.

Herring Gull |
I recently went on holiday to appledoor in north Devon. my family rented a cottage that looked out across the river mouth. I was called out from my room as there was a large group of gulls feeding on some dropped food at the end of the garden down by the water, luckily it was early evening which gave me the lovely light which is what i love about this photograph

Lapwing |
Lapwings are easily one of my favorite birds. In Scotland where this was taken they seem to be doing well even though they are one of the three wetland birds that are o concern (The other two being Curlew and Redshank) due to lack of habitat mainly. So getting this photo was a highlight of my trip to Scotland.

Ringed plover |
This is possibly m favorite shot of all time (that i have taken obviously :D) I love ringed plovers and i love how sand can come across in photos, especially when out of focus. So being able to combine the two was very satisfying.

Starlings |
This starling murmuration was spectacular, i would definitely recommend seeing it. The sound of them will stay with me forever. I saw this particular murmaration in Brighton, but there are well known locations where they happen most evenings. It is usually a winter event and you may need to travel to find your nearest location but it is well worth it.

Godwit |
This Godwit photo was taken on the same day as the little egret shown on this page. I was very happy to get a photo of the godwit so close, Where this was taken they are usually inconveniently far away.
|
Grey Seal |
Possibly the highliht of my holiday and one of the most loved animals i have photographed, this seal was one of two, this individual being the more inquisitive of the two. We (me and my family) saw them two nights in a row at the same cove, they even spent the evening with us whilst we had a BBQ on the beach, that was when this one became comfortable enough to allow me to get close.
